The tenth annual Navy Cycling Road Race Champs took place at RNAS Merryfield on Fri 13th May 13. Over 60 entries were received prior to the event and on the day 58 riders signed on for what turned out to be an exciting day of racing.

Your attention is drawn to the RN Road Race Champs and Interservice TT Champs which only have days few until entries officially close with the organisers. The organisers work hard to put on these events for you, so please make an effort to support them.

The RNRMCA 10 and 25 mile Time Trial Championships took place on the 20th and 21st April 2013, The events were kindly organised by Yeovil CC and Northover Vets cycling clubs, many thanks to Dave Notley and Tom Cox respectively for making both days possible and running such well organised events. 19 RNRMCA riders competed over the weekend, well done to all riders. 

The 10 mile TT took place late Saturday afternoon with WO1 Sean Childs winning in a time of 20.34 and PO Nick Tryon and Lt Cdr Nick Percy 2nd and 3rd making it a clean sweep for HMS Neptune.

The 25 mile TT started with the first rider away at 0700 on Sunday morning with temperatures below freezing, WO1 Sean Child again blitzed trhe field in a time of 53.43 and the Neptune riders of PO Nick Tryon and Lt Cdr Nick Percy clearing up the minor placings.

The Interservices 10 and 25 mile Time Trials are taking place on 11th and 12th May 2013. This year the event is hosted by the Army Cycling Union and full details are on the admin order at this link:  Interservice Admin Order

Entry's need to be with the organisers no later than 26th April so please plan early, we would like to see as many RN competitiors as possible at this event.
