Off Road Riders taking part in the Mayhem Challenge

You need a mountain a good trail then several hundred hardy riders who are up for the challenge of 24 hours continuous team work. A quartet of RNRMCA riders recently competed in the annual Mountain Mayhem Event.

Burning the candle at both ends 4 intrepid RNRMCA riders take on the biggest leisure ride in the World

Round 3 the 50 Mile Time Trial saw 15 riders step up to take the challenge

With a strong field of riders many of whom have attained PB's at many distances already this year the stage was set for a thrilling contest. The reigning champ (Sean Childs) had been suffering from a stomach upset but posted an unassailable time to regain the title some 4 and half minutes faster than his nearest rival.

RNRMCA Female Rider wins top award.

With Navy Cycling nominated in 3 out of the 4 awards it was silverware all round at the Royal Navy Sports Awards. LMA Mhairi Muir became the first female cyclist to become the Sportswoman of the year in recognition of her sporting prowess. For more details of this and other awards follow the link below.

RNRMCA Duo post impressive times at National Event

May bank holiday weekend saw the first of the time trial calendars National events with an impressive field qualification was hard fought. Two riders from RNRMCA met the criteria and posted impressive times.

Make the hoist Bravo Zulu

It was hard fought and the closest run contest in memory but RNRMCA riders reigned supreme at this weekends Inter Service TT Championships. Both Army and RAF squads were bigger and better than ever but failed to penetrate the strength and depth of the mighty Royal Navy Blue as they battled to do the double for the fourth year in succession.

RNRMCA Riders Trained To Win

Navy Cycling Team riders have undergone intensive training in the Brecon Beacons. Funded by Sports Lottery money the camp proved a complete sucess.

British Summer strong winds and rain fails to deter RNRMCA riders

18 club riders signed up to attempt round 4 of the RNRMCA championships (06 July) The prospect of a newly resurfaced dual carriageway may have swayed it but the wind stopped any aspirations for PB's as riders battled 25 miles in search of the RN Champ.

RNRMCA riders in action around the country

With a break in the weather boding well the first weekend of June sees RNRMCA riders competing at a number of events around the country. Newbury was the setting for the Combined Services Sportive Challenge and riders also represented the service at National level gaining creditable results.

Round 1 complete RNRMCA riders retain title as South West District Champions

With a good turnout of 15 riders the RNRMCA Championships got underway this weekend. The team were in jubilant mood and worked hard to retain their title winning the South West District Team award for the second year in a row.
