Road Championships 2008 Round 1 (10 mile time trial) Result
This year's RNRMCA 10 Mile TT Champs was incorporated into the Camel Valley C&TC Open TT (which also featured the South West District Champs). A new course (S100/10) was always going to be an unknown factor, coupled with the odd light shower (earlier starters and stronger winds for the latter half of the field) made the going the more tougher, especially at the turn around point which featured and unwanted 1/2 mile ascent!!!! 15 of the 17 RNRMCA entries made it to the start and what a great job they did; not only winning the Open individual and team event, but also the individual and team district championships for the second year in succession. Well done to all who made our champs a success as well and there was some good rides throughout; Brian K (Dangerous Bri) amazed us all with his 25.17 and MG's has started to found some form again and Keith Ashby took the plunge in his first competitive TT. Great stuff all round. I do not have the overall results as of yet, but will post them once known).
